Jennifer Havrilla, M.S., O.D. is a native of Colorado. She grew up on the Western Slope in the Northwest corner of the state. She attended Colorado College for her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Colorado State University for her Masters in Biomedical Science. While she was a student at CSU, Dr. Havrilla spent her first years at Colorado Vision Center working as an assistant to Dr. Bowman. After earning her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in 2012, Dr. Havrilla returned to Colorado Vision Center and began seeing patients of her own. She has received training in many elements of optometry beyond routine eye health exams. These include treating and managing ocular disease, fitting specialty contact lenses, treating ocular issues related to systemic conditions and co-management care for eye surgeries. Although she treats patients for a variety of eye health issues, Dr. Havrilla’s love for her profession really lies with primary eyecare. She truly enjoys learning about the needs of her patients and helping improve their lives through better, more comfortable vision. Dr. Havrilla loves getting to know families and caring for their vision as their children age from grade schoolers to high schoolers and beyond.
When she’s not helping patients, Dr. Havrilla spends time with her husband, their 4 young children and their 2 dogs. Together, they love to explore the outdoors as a chaotic family of 6.
