Eye Care & Low Vision Correction Specialists
Remembering Dr. DeGeorge
Dr. Mark DeGeorge was a remarkable human being who was loved by everyone he touched. Mark died on September 27, 2012 from complications of the cancer he had been fighting for the past two years. He was 54 years old. Mark was a well known Fort Collins optometrist at Colorado Vision Center and Ensight Low Vision Skills Center. He graduated from CSU in 1980 and from the Southern California School of Optometry in 1984. He was a member of the COA. During his tenure with COA he was director of the Colorado Optometric Center, member of the Mediation and Low Vision Committees. He married Lynn in 1990. Mark enjoyed traveling, skiing and was the best cook ever. He is survived by his wife Lynn, daughters Adrienne and Lauren, his parents Maggie and Dan DeGeorge of Oro Valley Arizona, his sister Dana Hackbarth of River Falls Wisconsin and his brother Steve of Fountain Hills Arizona. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank all our friends for your support over the past two years. If desired, donations can be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation at http://www.themmrf.org in Dr. DeGeorge’s memory.
